This is the second class put on by the Jewish Peoples Schule this year. it will be on Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, two Jewish-Americans that died because, as W.E.B. DuBois said, “they would not lie.” This is an invitation to commemorate the Rosenbergs and their tragic death, watch footage of documentaries and movies, read letters by Julius and Ethel, analyze the trial and the current work to reopen the case, engage in discussion, and learn why we are calling for their exoneration. It will take place on Wednesday, June 19 at 9pm EST/6pm PDT. The class will end an hour and a half later at 10:30 PM EST / 7:30 PM PDT. We welcome all to The Jewish Peoples Schule, please share this with your friends and family.

If We Die
by Ethel Rosenberg
You shall know, my sons, shall know
Why we leave the song unsung
The book unread, the work undone
To lie beneath the sod.
Mourn no more, my sons, no more
Why the lies and smears were framed
The tears we shed, the hurt we bore
To all shall be proclaimed.
Earth shall smile, my sons, shall smile
And green above our resting place
the killing end, the world rejoice
In brotherhood and peace.
Work and build, my sons, and build
A monument to love and joy
To human worth, to faith we kept
For our sons and yours.
