Labor United Educational League is proud to announce we are releasing the recordings from the Harry Bridges School of Labor sessions. Launched in Spring 2023, the Harry Bridges School of Labor is a monthly class held 2x per month. Classes cover a variety of topics aimed at building class conscious among union members. The forth session for 2024 of the Harry Bridges School of Labor was on Tasks of a Shop Steward. In the first section, we went over what a Shop Steward is and Steward’s Rights. The second, we went over some of the biggest mistakes a Steward will make, focusing on actions to avoid. And finally, we talked about some aspects of Labor Law and understanding grievances.
